The Shining by Stephen King | Horror Books

The Shining (The Shining, #1)The Shining by Stephen King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bought this book because it's the first one that comes up when you search horror books, and no doubt Stephen King is the king of horror books. Also, picked up because Joey praises it in FRIENDS sitcom.

The book begins slow and sets the scene for the plot i.e., the hotel Overlook, cut-off from the world. Although I found it bit too stretchy and descriptive in the first half, the second half just kept me on my toes. Anything I write about the plot will be a spoiler. Watching the story unfold through both the kid Danny and the father Jack's eyes, it is so terrifying to imagine it happen. The visuals, hallucinations, and who are all these people when the hotel's supposed to be closed for the winter!!!

A goodread, imo! Do read if you're reading horror for the first time like me ❤️

AI what the actual crappity crap???? | Book Blogger Blurbs

The AI generated pieces is how I used to write in school and college. Now, whatever I write seems AI generated, so I end up using AI to write the things for me.  All the language skills mastered over years wasted only to be labeled as AI. Having to delete advanced vocabulary to sound human is a painful thing to do. Also, emphasis on important things is lost in using common vocabulary.  Continuing the above, what if I use AI to write about how AI is destroying our use of advanced vocabulary?  🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 I have come across few channels which tell how to create a faceless YouTube channel or an automated blog where you can create multiple videos or write-ups within few minutes with AI and you have days worth of posting content just with a few prompts. Mind you, I tried these personally. But the conclusion that I have arrived at is that the content in these videos and posts is already out there on internet. There is nothing new or no value addition done. What's the point of th...

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins | What a thriller !!

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins My rating: 5 of 5 stars A good thriller! Totally never suspected the actual murderer. It's such a satisfying thriller. Absolutely fabulous! Manipulation at its finest. I love books where the people get their revenge after struggling so much and being in absolute dark about it. Also a good lesson. Don't drink kids. It has always led to fall! Lots of alcohol in this book. I'd say a bottle for every page. Or even more. View all my reviews

A Heartwarming Tale of Resilience and Loyalty: A Dog's Courage | Book Blogger Blurbs

POV of a dog!  This is something unique. Viewing the world from the point of view of a dog. The book follows the story of dog in first person in it's journey living with his human family through the cat family & all the experiences in between. The happiness life, the wandering, the wild life, the wild fire, fighting off bears, meeting old family, losing the track back home, making difficult decisions, and many other things to answer your questions, What do dogs think about. It's such an emotional turmoil, sometimes makes you wonder why won't they just have the ability to speak. We have seen that dogs do have emotions. There should be a way they could express themselves more clearly. The author has so very well captured the most important trait of dogs that they're always loyal to their human friends and how they would do everything to be with them all the time. Also how they can understand other animals and also befriend. This book also shows us a unique & very ...
